Because we completely control the manufacturing and distribution of our product line, we are able to offer you this 'direct from the manufacturer' pricing program, effectively eliminating the broker, distributor, warehouses, and retailer. This means excellent quality furniture with unheard of prices for you. We guarantee you will be completely pleased with your purchase.

·         Each of our furniture pieces is inspected by European trained specialists. We have a rigid quality control program and multiple checkpoints at each production step. We encourage that you contact us regarding your feelings, opinions, and suggestions after receiving our furniture.

• Don't be afraid of buying Chinese made furniture, you will be saving on cost and not quality. Years ago furniture Japan was considered a low quality manufacture; their market is now one of the strongest. Our quality is already on par with or better than most American or Italian made furniture. Please check what our customers say about our furniture.

·         We are told repeatedly that customers "...will not buy products made by 8-year olds and by political prisoners." We firmly support this view. I travel all around China and I have never seen this. We are an American business (California based), manufacturing and importing quality products that sell at fair and honest prices, resulting in your gain. We manufacture our furniture in China, because of lower production costs, with a highly trained and strong workforce.

Our sofas carry a five year warranty on the frame with two year warranty for materials and workmanship for full leather sofa and one year warranty for leather sofa with backs/sides of vinyl (known as half leather).

·         With each item being produced for custom order, please feel free to specify color, size, leather or, and any other options that you would like customized to your needs.

·         With hundreds of models and colors to choose from your choices are limitless. Yet, should you not see a design to your liking, feel free to send some design ideas to us. Our sofa masters can create many custom designs based on your photos.

·         Because we ship everything direct from China the length of time it takes for you to receive your order may discouraged you. Don’t be discouraged. Rather, be patient and understand that from the time it takes to place your order, produce and assemble the parts, and ship it over seas then land some time may pass, even up to 12 weeks. This can be frustrating, but once you have received your custom sofa or furniture you will be more than pleased with the detail and craftsmanship put into your order and will than realize the wait was worth it.

·         Currently most of our orders are shipped in about four + containers per month to our Los Angeles center in California. From Los Angeles, all local orders are delivered to your doorstep by our delivery personnel and by a professional shipping company for non local orders. 

LEATHER HIDES

·        OUR LEATHER IS FROM 100% GENUINE TOP GRAIN HIDE. Many manufacturers purchase cheap hides that have to be corrected, stretched, patched, and altered which takes away from the durability of the leather. All around leather sofas include The Back and Sides if you choose. You will always know what you get with ShangriLa Furnishings!

·        ALL OF OUR HIDES ARE INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED FOR YOUR SOFA (NOT cut and sewn or vinyl matched). You will be able to recognize cut and sewn patterns by the seam down the center of the cushions. Check your couches...most will have these seams!

·        EVERY HIDE IS FULLY ANILINE DYED, (colored completely through, and not just on the surface) which makes for easy cleaning, and prevents fading, staining, peeling, soiling, and cracking.

FRAMES

·         Our frames are built to last using select, solid hardwood, kiln dried, frames. The kiln dried  hardwood frame is designed to withstand the most demanding use (most others are plywood or cheap pressed wood), this frame will not warp, split, or break.

·         To provide the utmost comfort each frame is padded on the front, side, and back.

·         ALL CUSHIONS ARE WRAPPED IN A POLLY WRAP which helps the leather breathe, and prevents the leather from deteriorating the cushion.

OTHER FEATURES

o        All nail heads are individually hand tacked (if available).

o        We use authentic, hand applied, nail head trims (not "machine made", like inferior furniture)

o        All exterior are made from a selected hard wood which undergoes a 25-step hand rubbed finish process.

o        All our products are manufactured with the best materials and the highest craftsmanship. (We are originally European and follow old world traditions. Check the many links on this page to see how our sofas are made.)

o        View our information on colors and design options for each of our sets. We do not use drop ship services. Each of our sofas is ordered individually and closely inspected before packing and shipping.

o        We carry ISO 9001 accreditation and ISO 9002 certification.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

1. Used materials

   a. Wood frame. Dry kiln solid wood cured at 14 Degree Centigrade to eliminate possible warping.

wood, selected, 1st class -selected - we are paying approx 20% higher plus later sending for drying for several days at 90-95 Degree Centigrade. We are not accepting wood with more than 15% moisture, Typical local furniture manufacturer is using wood with 20-25% moisture - had some problem before buying other vendors sofas with wet frames. We measure moisture using Wagner Electronic Products MCC200 Series Meter     

      b. foam- sponge. Best quality available on the market, Used several layers depend of applications

Our sponge cost is approx 80-100% more than other local manufacturers. We are not saving on it, using several layers of it and all times best quality available.

   c. Leather. All times using 1st class genuine double dye, never split or second class domestic. We are using approx 20% more leather per set, because our designs is done for export, not to compete on prices with local vendors.

3. Labor, we are paying our people more than local factories, because we require quality, not quantity and this require slower production. We are having strict quality control at every production step.
   To having steady quality product all our equipment is imported from Europe or Japan. Our employees are enjoying good life. Additional to good salary, we are providing free accommodations for every employee plus 3 meals a day
